A small portrait of an art student painted 

using egg tempera which is egg yolk

mixed with dry pigment and pure water.

It is painted using the traditional egg

tempera technique of fine cross-

hatching on a pure white gesso

ground.

It was intended as a study for a much

larger painting which never got completed.

This is the best image available of the 

painting at present.
