Church Street, Barnsley Street Painting in Ink & Watercolour Ink & Watercolour on Paper 2003 6 x 4 ins private collection
Ink and Watercolour Landscape / Townscape Architecture Painting depicting the road which runs past the Cooper Art Gallery and the Town Hall in Barnsley. The Art Gallery is just out of view to the left.
The war memorial outside Barnsley Town Hall is just visible between the lamp post and the college building to the right. It is a damp day and the light from the sky is reflected in wet patches on the road.
Watercolour & Ink Landscape Painting Technique: The Townscape Scene was rapidly sketched onto un-stretched Watercolour Paper using a fine Waterproof drawing Pen with black Ink. Then Ultramarine Blue and Alizarin Crimson Watercolour Washes were applied using a Wet into Wet Watercolour Painting Technique.
